Telecommuting Intensity in the Context of COVID-19 Pandemic: Job Performance and Work-Life Balance

Abstract The COVID-19 pandemic caused a prolonged and intensified telecommuting arrangement that raised number of unprecedented concerns regarding its implications on employees’ job performance (JP) work-life balance (WLB). This study primarily aimed at determining the relationship between intensity JP WLB. Further, it sought to know if there was significant difference in productivity when working office home. Lastly, assessed whether previous frameworks WLB were still valid during crisis. A total 396 employees from three BPO companies Philippines gathered using stratified random sampling. Pearson correlation, T -test, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) executed for this study. result provides evidence has negative with It means longer time spent decreases employees. On other hand, is not significantly correlated JP, supporting second finding no percentage work done amount finish home office. CFA generated applicable context COVID-19. managers findings more carefully design programmes emphasis factors contribute balance.
